Founder of Totem

The Present:
Heather founded Totem – a dog-friendly, eco-luxury salon & boutique – after having a vision that came & never went away. While the company is currently engaging in events and collaborations, Heather is working on a brick and mortar in Carmel (aka known as dog heaven on earth).

She is a firm believer that all roads, no matter how smooth or rocky, lead to service and spirit -- which is essentially hospitality! Hence, naming the company Totem -- because dogs truly are spirit animals and medicine to those who love and care for them. And the health of all – planet, people, animals – is so immensely important.

The road that led to, and inspired, Totem:Heather has always been an empath and healer, and this led her to becoming a reiki master, massage therapist, and eventually a Licensed Acupuncturist; with elements of hospice training, shamanic work, and yoga training sprinkled into the mix.

Heather’s deep customer service and management experience in spa environments continues to inspire and support Totem’s beginnings.
