Heather Nelson
Head of International Sales at Radisson Hotel Group
Heather Nelson has over 25 years of hotel sales & management experience. She joined Radisson Hotel Group in May of 2018 and in February 2021 was promoted to Head of US International Sales. In this newly created role, she is responsible for the creation of a new US based team that will execute the sales strategy across the network to generate demand, increase market share, stregenthen relationships and drive loyalty from RHG’s global account portfolio within US Business Travel, including Global TMC, meetings and events and luxury travel segments into RHG international hotels.
Heather brings a wealth of knowledge and a proven track record of accelerating sales, fostering successful sales teams and optimizing agency partnerships to her new role. Prior to joining Radisson, Heather spent 8 years at HRG North America as the Vice President of Hotel Relations. As a newly formed position for the company at the time, Heather managed the overall relationships with the North American hotel partners, maximizing relationships and evaluating new ones. Heather successfully worked to align hotel partner opportunities with Business Management, Consulting and Sales to meet and exceed targeted revenues while delivering value and savings to HRG customers. Heather began her hotel career in Chicago with Omni Hotels & Resorts and has also held Global and Regional Sales positions with Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Worldhotels.
Heather graduated from The Ohio State University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes, and spending time with her husband, three kids and friends!
